1. Towards a feminist city of Surrey (ongoing)

Project details: Supported by the Government of Canada’s Feminist Recovery Grant, we are embarked on a three-year project to learn from and collaborate with the City of Surrey and prominent civic agencies throughout the city in their goals of supporting the hiring, retention and upward mobility of racialized women in the workforce.

2. #2020in3words

Project details: As one of our first projects, the City in Colour Cooperative designed and launched #2020in3words, a photo submission contest as a community reflection piece. We asked our communities to tell us: What are the three words that describe their 2020. We got 50 submissions in different languages – English, Farsi, Japanese and Spanish, from Canada, Iran, Peru and Scotland.
